Longtime Society Member, Harry Wagner, dies on July 23, 2017 RIP, Harry

Harry Wagner, SMEMSIC member for over 24 years, age 77, of Montrose, died Sunday, July 23, 2017 at his residence. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2PM Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the Birch Run Moose Lodge, 12326 Gera Road, Birch Run, Michigan. Harry was born July 10, 1940 in Parker, Pennsylvania to the late John and Alyce (Klavon) Wagner. He graduated from Montrose High School in 1958. Harry worked as an electrician for General Motors, retiring in 2007 with 47 years of service. He was also an EMT, and can be credited with initiating the emergency medical program at Buick City. Harry was also an EMT instructor, and an EMT instructor trainer, both for General Motors and for the public. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Birch Run, Clio Eagles Club, Clio Senior Center and the American Red Cross Association. Harry enjoyed lock smithing as a hobby, anything that had to do with medical training, andloved to watch the Detroit Tigers. Surviving are: Children: Bill (Dawn) Wagner, Cindy Chandler; Grandchildren: Brandy (Ryan) Erickson, Nichole (Tim) Bishop, James Chandler, Tony (Amanda) Chandler; Great Grandchildren: Wesley Erickson, Ava Erickson; Brother, Donald (Linda) Wagner; Sister-in-law, Paula Wagner.
